The hydraulic rod seals from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies meet all customer expectations in terms of maximum reliability, long service life and functionality. Freudenberg Sealing Technologies is constantly developing its own rod sealing systems and equipping them with additional functions required by modern systems. These include, for example, storage modules for containing drag oil, long strokes, different entry and exit speeds of the rods as well as pressure relief functions in the case of primary seals. The rod seals effectively prevent a system-based, excessive build-up of pressure within the sealing system and protect against premature failure of the primary and secondary seals.
Rod seals (hydraulic): Reliable protection against impurities
To reliably retain hydraulic fluids and seal piston rods, the sealing material used must be relatively lightweight and abrasion-resistant. At the same time, however, the material must have the necessary hardness to prevent crack extrusions at high working pressures and high temperatures. In the shape of the HDR-2C rod seal, Freudenberg Sealing Technologies achieves this challenging objective in a single component. This pioneering grooved ring is the perfect solution for difficult tasks. It consists of two high-performance polyurethane compounds of different hardness levels, which Freudenberg Sealing Technologies chemically combines into a single seal, rendering a back ring unnecessary. This makes assembly child's play.
